Assigned Books and Updated dates

Hi Everyone,

As stated in class Tuesday evening, for this week, please prioritize completing the drafts of your annotations for your fairy tale. You should be reading, watching, or engaging with each variation enough so that you have a strong sense of how the creator is reworking the fairy tale so that you are able to bring analysis and critique to your annotations. Remember, don’t just describe the plot. Think about the method in which the story is being conveyed and why the creator might have chosen to use this story.

Module 8 is now due on 3/31, but you may want to get a start on reading through the texts of Peter Pan that start the module.

For your next presentation, each of you is assigned a book below that at some point during the 20th century was considered a classic or was a major award winner. You will be presenting an excerpt of approximately 2-3 minutes from the book and an introduction (before or after the excerpt) that explains the book, why you think it was so highly regarded and should it still be read today. I did a random draw for books, but if you wish to switch amongst yourselves, please let me know who you are switching with.

These presentations are due on two dates. The date included is the original publication date. The version that you use can be any later reprint.
