The book I was assigned is the Scorpions I have to say I loved this book some parts hit home, and some parts are just so real for so many people in this world even today! I would definitely recommend this book.

Jamal is going through a lot as a twelve year old and focused to become a man. This is an important book and it will shape a lot of children lives and relate to Jamal struggles.

I have not heard of the book Scorpion. I think the excerpt you chose highlights the character’s feelings when interacting with his family.
